October Update

Fund Drive Orders DUE October 6. (Orders will not be accepted without Permit to Sell signed by parent.)

Choirs Under Construction October 6, NV Auditorium 7:30 pm. Admission free. Performers should be in assigned seats for attendance by 7:10 pm dressed in appropriate NV Choir shirt and black pants. The concert will end at 8:15 pm. Rides should be ready at 5 North no later than 8:15.

Fund Drive product delivery October 27th. If you have large orders, be sure to arrange for someone to pick you up. It would be difficult to handle large orders on the bus.

Chapter 6 Workshop and Concert

All choir men from Northview, Westlane, Eastwood and North Central will be participating in a WONDERFUL event September 1st. The cost to participate is $5 for Northview guys. (The Northview PTO and the NV Choral department have donated to help keep your cost down to $5.) All money and registration forms are due Monday, August 24. We need to get your Chapter 6 shirts ordered. We are asking that participatants wear black pants. There will be a concert at 7 pm. Seating is limited and tickets are $10 each. (Participating boys do not pay for tickets.) The MSDWT guys will be singing one song on the concert with Chapter 6. Workshop starts at 4:00 pm at the NV Auditorium. Dinner follows, then the concert at 7:00. Have rides ready at NV 5 North at 8:30 pm. Take a look at Chapter6.com to see more about this incredible a cappella group. VERY EXCITING! (Oh, and coaches and athletic director have been notified. Athletic Director, Mr. Gondol say it looks GREAT! No problem with athletics!)

MSDWT CHORAL FESTIVAL MARCH 17, 2009

Quick reminder

Choral Festival Tuesday March 17 North Central High School Gymnasium - 7 pm- All NV Choir students must check in with Mrs. M. before reporting to seats.  I will be available for "check-in" starting at about 6:20 pm.  (Dress-Orange Choral Festival shirts, black pants, dark shoes.)  There will be an alternate assignment for those not attending - for any reason.  All students must be in their seats by 6:45 pm.

7th and 8th Graders going to Kings Island- your final payment is due on April 8th.

March Update

Choirs sing at NV Open House Tuesday, March 10th.  Report to Choir room at 6:45.  We sing at 7:15 in Student Center.  Please wear black NV Choir Shirt and jeans.

Choral Festival Tuesday, March 17th, 7 pm at NC Gym.  Please wear orange Choral Festival t-shirt and black pants.  Report to Mrs. M. for attendance and be in your seat by 6 :45 pm.  It is going to be a GREAT show!

Update

1. All students will need to purchase a Choral Festival t- shirt.  (Not the same as NV Choir Shirt.)  Cost- $5 due Jan. 30.  NV, EW, and WL Choral Students will all wear matching shirts at out bi-annual MSDWT Choral Festival March 17th at North Central High School. This is a huge event and is a required performance.  Please make sure you have it on your calendar.  (It starts at 7 pm)
2. 7th and 8th grade students who plan to participate in the Kings Island Music in the Parks Competition with us on May 16th will need to make the first deposit on their tickets by February 3rd.  Total cost is $70 which includes Festival Fees, Admission to the Park, and Transportation.  1st Deposit - $30.  (non-refundable)
3. All Choral Students will be singing at our annual Open House on the evening of March 10th.
4. Any parents interested in forming a group to fundraise for Showchoir camp should contact me.  I will help you organize the group.  Camp at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio is July 5th - 11th.  www.showchoircamps.com
5. May 5th is our Spring Sing Concert at NV
6. May 14th is the Side by Side Concert at North Central with the Kings Court Singers.  See Mrs. Miedema for a registration form if you would like to participate.  (Optional performance)
