September Update

All choirs are working on music they will present at the Choirs Under Construction Concert coming up on October 5, 7:30 pm at the Nothview Auditorium. This concert is a required one for students and should last about an hour. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE PROGRESS OF ALL THE CHOIRS AT THIS POINT! I think you will enjoy hearing their beautiful voices! (There are SO many talented kids at NV!)

Choir Commitment forms and T-shirt orders are due no later than this Friday, September 17th. All students will need Northview Choir Shirts and Choral Festival Shirts. The total cost for the two shirts is $15. Thank you for getting this in promptly. Many students have already turned in both the money and the forms :) Also, the hoodies are completely optional. I made them available because some students said they would like to have them. Hoodies MAY NOT be worn on stage in place of the choir t-shirts. Cost for hoodies is:

$18 for a regular hoodie

$25 for a full zippered hoodie

$30 for a full zippered heavy weight hoodie.

These orders accompanied by payment are also due Friday, the 17th of September.

HALF NOTES is an opportunity for the kids to perform with the AMAZING North Central COUNTERPOINTS at a NC Varsity Basketball game. See Mrs. M. for further info. The form says that it is open to 4th - 6th graders, but we usually have 7th and 8th graders participating, which is just fine. OPTIONAL

GOLD RUSH is an extra-curricular Girls' Show Choir. For those girls, trash bag money is due Friday, September 17. First payment for your outfits is due September 22nd so we can get the dresses ordered.

The Northview Middle School Performing Arts Fund Drive kick off is September 22nd. This helps us buy music, equipment, pay contest fees among other choir department needs. Participation is appreciated, but optional. Students MUST have signed permission from parents to sell. Information will be sent home on the 22nd.
